This curriculum by Ellen Foncannon is the most complete that has been developed for teaching music with Boomwhackers Musical Tubes. Volume 3 introduces bass clef notes and grand staff reading. The bass Diatonic Set and/or Octavator caps are required along with the Diatonic Set and Treble Extension Set. Lessons also cover mixed meter, tempo markings, intervals, accents, and flats and naturals. The educational lyrics are designed to teach the location of the notes on the staff and to involve the entire class in singing and playing. This course involves students on multiple levels of seeing, hearing, whacking, and group participation, all of which combine for a complete and effective learning experience. Lesson plans, activities and MENC standards are included for each of the thirteen lessons.
